Adopted by the State of Ohio in 2010, these new rigorous Social Studies standards will be transitioned into SWCS classrooms in the Fall of 2012. This year, 2012-2013, we will be starting with Ancient Greece and continuing throughout world history until we have completed the Age of Exploration. The students will be required to analyze several ancient civilizations and how those civilizations have impacted our world today. Also for each civilization discussed, the students will learn the geography unique to each region. Mapping will be an integral part of our study.
